Meshes and Ladders, Woolly Hat
This Woolly hat uses a "meshes and ladders" Pattern, originally designed in Sheringham by the wife of local fisherman Mr. Grice (who was known to locals as "lotion tar bishop"). This style of pattern is traditionally found on Ganseys, which are thick woolen jumpers to keep fisherman warm at sea.
This product is designed and made by myself, Yvette Hadfield in my studio in Wymondham Norfolk. And keeping with tradition it is made from 5 ply 100% British Wool, spun in Yorkshire
Credit to Martin Warren, The Northfolk Project for the use of this pattern
