This summer I visited the Design Textile Museum in London with my friends, It was fab.
I have liked Orla Kiely's designs for a few years now and have a selection of fabrics, bags, mugs of her designs. I would firstly like to put this down to my age and having grown up in the 1970's but on the whole I love repeat pattern and 1970's design seems to more than for full my brief.
On arrival we walked through an exhibit that showed her design process which gave examples of her mood boards and product analysis. This then lead to a corridor of wall paper which was very inspiring. I have a couple of her designs in my own home and wished I could have purchased some more that day. Her designs are mostly brightly coloured and have a happy pleasing aesthetic which I like in my own home.
I recommend a visit if you haven't been and there is a small shop to purchase a few things!!
