Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is a great clean way to cut out shapes.

This can be done on :

Fabric: like cotton, wool, silk, linen, viscose and polyester in particular on polyester or poly cotton because it will seal the edges compared with natural fibres where you do get some fraying or at times scorching.

Other materials can also be used like paper, card, MDF, acrylic, and leather.

NO PVC or FAKE LEATHER, or MIRROR and CORRUGATED CARD BOARD.

You will need to have access to a 2D computer program like 2D design or Ethos. to change your images into information the that laser cutter can read.

You need to consider which pieces you are cutting away completely and which pieces you only which to engrave.

YOU MUST CONSIDER HOW THE PATTERN AND FABRIC WILL HOLD TOGETHER SO LEAVING IN SOME LINKS IN BETWEEN DESIGNS MAYBE NEEDED. The classic circle within a circle with out a link to the outer circle will just fall away.
