Holding Stitch


On the knitting machine there is a function to set the stitches in the holding position, this can be good if you want to make a shape as in the flap in the above picture or to create a triangle shape or arm hole for jumper.


To hold the stitches you need to position the Russell switches from 2 -1 and move the needles forward. Then you can continue to knit just the stitches in normal position. To re attach the stitches to the needles turn the Russell switch back to 2 and move needles into normal position and knit.
