Foil can be applied to fabric on its own or to over lay fabric prints. You often see foil used on make up bags, t-shirts and wording. First you need to apply the glue that the foil sticks to, you can do these either by using a brush or through a silk screen for more delicate work. It is then left to dry. You put the fabric onto the heat press glue side up and lay the foil shiny side up on top of the glue. Heat press for 30 seconds and release, let it go cold and peel of the foil. (gold stick man)
Flock is a similar process where you apply glue and let it dry,
then add the flock a velvet paper. This is placed on top of the glue face down with the flock touching the glue. Heat press for 30 seconds an peel straight away when hot. (red stick man)
