At the weekend I visited Dunelm Home Wares to gather inspiration for my weave designs and came across a few brands that might be worth investigating, Ashley Wilde was one of them.
History
Ashley Wilde has secured a reputation for exceptional quality. Launched in the 1950s by Nick Brodin in London's Whitechapel Road. He had a keen eye for design and started selling wholesale fabric from Lancashire, Belgium and Italy.
The business continued to grow and moved premises a few times to deal with the expansion. In 1986 Nick Brodin retired and his son took over the business. By this time the company had its own design team and were producing there own fabrics . Amongst the new designs was a range of bed linen for Linda Barker a television presenter and designer this was a big advertisement for the company and opened up new opportunities.
Website
There website has a clean fresh look about it, I would say that it appeals to the upper middle class that want a tidy everything in its place look. It doesn't have much colour in its primary pictures and the colour pallet is very farrow and ball. If thats your thing then this website is for you.
